Job Description

Sutherland is seeking analytical and attentive people to join us as Claims Support Representatives as part of a team supporting a leading insurance provider. These exceptional individuals will make outbound calls to physicians and claimants related to Medicaid and/or Medi-CAL billing/claims. These positions are currently work from home, but will work out of our Torrance, CA office in the future.

Our Claims Support Representatives: 

  • Manage inbound calls regarding payments, products, and policies
  • Process information in systems accurately
  • Process claims while adhering to client and company policies
  • Display excellent customer service skills on all calls
  • Escalate complex customer issues to team management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of medical billing with Medi-CAL or Medicaid, preferably with a background in accounts receivable/collections
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Familiarity working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management and decision-making skills
