Job Description
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who will be responsible for attending to internal IT support queries and issues across all aspects of the Superloop business. This role will be responsible to ensure the smooth set-up and maintenance of users' computers, basic networks, onboarding and offboarding providing exposure to a broad range of IT related projects and activities.
Our Colombo office is in CBD Business Center, Colombo 1 and work timings would be from 3 or 4 a.m. to 12 noon. or 1 p.m.
Our IT Support Officers are an integral part of the IT Services team, responsible for managing internal IT support queries and issues across all aspects of the Superloop business.
What will you do?
- Providing escalated telephone and basic face-to-face technical support to users regarding desktop, network, and audio-visual equipment issues.
- Acting as an internal technical reference point for colleagues.
- Assist IT projects requiring installations, software rollouts and upgrades.
- Ensuring high-level technical queries are escalated to Network Engineers according to established procedures.
- Provide corporate IT desktop/laptop/mobile support services to all employees in the business
- Provide level 1 support to internal users in Australia, Sir Lanka and overseas offices.
- Manage incoming tickets & queries at the service desk.
- Maintain and repair IT equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, network servers, AV and other equipment.
- Document IT support procedures and processes.
- Onboard and offboard staff, including Induction and training of new users.
Here's what you'll need:
- Good technical knowledge of computer hardware and Office software.
- Great verbal and written communication skills and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and tools especially 365 Admin experience and Windows PC management experience
- Qualification in Microsoft Azure 365 is an added advantage
- Good time management skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Experience supporting multiple desktop operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android and Apple devices
- Ensure processes are as efficient as possible.
- Provide reference material for network design and enable efficient knowledge transfer between staff.
- Stay within SLA targets for customer services.
