Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local non-governmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes state-of-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

OVERALL SUMMARY:
Community Mobilizer (Private Outlet Provider) plays key role in managing: the formal pharmacy channel, the informal ‘druggist’ channel and affiliated providers. They act as promoters to those channel providers and also attract them, motivate them, conduct ongoing capacity building activities by conducting simple detailing activities, place point-of-service reminders and leaflets etc. Community Mobilizer (Private Outlet Provider) also has direct interactions with community in assigned villages to conduct IPC sessions around proper testing before treatment and usage of quality malaria products and referring /linking with available outlets.
This position will be under Service Agreement Contract with up to December 2026. Required position is 1 and assigned area will be Tamu.
Job Description
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Meeting or exceeding challenging targets (detailing visits and IPC sessions)
- Planning and conducting advocacy to local village authority whenever necessary
- Area mapping and opening of outlets/expansion volunteers according to territory planning and geographical area for disease burden
- Planning promotional visits to outlets and volunteers according to territory planning and management approach
- Identifying and rewarding high-performing formal or informal drug providers/volunteers Providing required IEC and promo materials to formal or informal druggist outlets and proper merchandizing activity in the field
- Conducting on site RDT demonstration to outlet providers/volunteers
- Conducting IPC sessions for awareness of quality ACT and testing with mRDT in the community Onsite training and coaching to affiliated providers to do mobile visit, testing of suspected malaria clients and health education in order to get proper compliance.
- Assisting Community Coordinator in planning supervision visits, advocacy visits and other coordination visit within assigned territory Ensuring on time productive and periodic reporting to respective Community Coordination.
Qualifications
Key Skills: The key skills required for the position Community Mobilizer (Malaria-PO) include:
Communication Skills: Must have exceptional communication skills.
Local Knowledge: Must have in-depth knowledge of the communities they live and work in.
Additional Knowledge: Must have an advance medical detailing and product promotion ideas
Qualifications
- Must be at least high school graduate (University Degree is preferable);
- Must have at least one year experience in health related job;
- Must have good interpersonal communication skills;
- Should have in depth knowledge of the communities;
- Should be organized, systematic and dynamic and must interact well with others.
