Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local non-governmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes state-of-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

JOB SUMMARY:
Technical Support Officer for Community channel hold field based important role in assigned territories. The main responsibility of Technical Support Officer is to supervise community field staffs for productivity of the assigned territory. In addition, he/she will need to work closely with affiliated providers such as pharmacies and volunteers within project townships. He/she will be responsible for the estimated cost required to run operation and make sure those are used efficiently within agreed time frame. Regular visits to local authority and local health authority for relationship building in order to support SCH's operations are also needed.
Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of Technical Support Officer for Community channel include:
• Advocate regularly to township administrative and health authorities ensuring legislative approval and smooth running of community health services activities.
• Conduct Community engagement activities, Case investigation of Malaria response activities as necessary.
• Conduct regular and effective supervision visits to supervisees and providers for productivity and quality improvement of health services.
• Coach and guide the community field staffs for technical as well as product distribution, financial handlings and other administrative related issues.
• Manage to ensure monthly reports and data collected by field staffs are correct, valid, and accountable for national /donor reports as well as for future health plans.
• Prepare and report monthly and quarterly activities in timely manner and to inform any problem, difficulty and challenges encountered during the field operations to immediate supervisors for immediate and appropriate actions.
• Create an atmosphere of teamwork both within and between networks including SQH providers and Community providers.
• Plan and organize the trainings/meetings/workshops in assigned townships as necessary.
• Assist senior team members in the in-house staff capacity building activities ensuring it is a continuous rather than ad hoc process.
• Active participation in different programmatic meetings/trainings of SCH and to share the knowledge gained to other SCH colleagues.
• Facilitate the troubleshooting of digital reporting at provider level;
• Tracking monthly achievements against targets
• Work with QI team to understand the program situation and provide feedback to management for program quality improvement
• Collaborate with partner organizations as necessary;
• Other relevant tasks assigned by the direct supervisor
Key Skills and competencies
Technical Knowledge: Must have understanding on minimum services quality standards of health areas implemented by SCH and Provider Behavioural Change concepts
Operational management: Must be able to manage the time effectively and conduct medical outreach effectively to increase providers’ productivity of various channels in assigned territories.
Communication: Must be able to understand basic communication skills and effectively communicate with providers and all stakeholders
Leadership: Must have enough leadership skills and demonstrate a strong ability to guide others if need be
Organizational Skills: Must be organized and able to manage review meeting and training of providers of various channels in assigned territories
Qualifications
• University Degree (preferrable M.B., B.S)
• Proven work experience in public health field is advantageous
• Must have good communications skills, including sufficient reporting skills in English;
• Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adequate knowledge of training activities and M&E
• Should be organized, systematic and dynamic, and must interact well with others
