Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local non-governmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes state-of-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

Community Coordinator (CC-F) hold a field-based team leader role in assigned territory and he/she is primarily responsible for monitoring and supervision activities of respective Community Mobilizers. This position is target-driven and ultimately responsible for achieving the challenging targets assigned to his/her territory. This position's duration is up to June/ December 2026 with possible extension and with Service Agreement Contract. Assign Area is Bago (Nyaunglaybin based).
Job Description
Community Coordinator (CC-F) hold a field-based team leader role in assigned territory and he/she is primarily responsible for monitoring and supervision activities of respective Community Mobilizers. This position is target-driven and ultimately responsible for achieving the challenging targets assigned to his/her territory.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Coach Community Mobilizers’ (CM) monitoring and supervision activities to providers to improve productivity and quality of care;
• Coordinate between field based CMs and office team to ensure timely and effective communication;
• Provide guidance and supervision to CMs to ensure the effective execution of their responsibilities.
• Conduct regular field visits and random visits to monitor and assess the performance of CMs, to ensure effective implementations and find out the solutions to overcome barriers.
• Provide technical support and resolve issues for CMs as needed.
• Supervise the work plans and schedules of Community Mobilizers.
• Foster strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to support the implementation of project activities.
• Ensure alignment of community health activities with overall project goals and objectives, and run the project in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Organize, facilitate and deliver trainings and refresher trainings to CMs to enhance their skills and knowledge in health promotion, case finding, case management and community engagement.
• Supervise to ensure program related products with good, expired dates and relevant commodities (IECs, Promos and job aids) are fully stocked, make sure to keep under recommended conditions and provide necessary support to keep minimal stock in hand at provider level.
• Manage logistics and operational support for CMs, including the distribution of materials and supplies.
• Liaise to receive timely advances, salary, products and reporting forms to supervisees (Community Mobilizers) and liaise to submit timely financial reports, vehicle & admin related reports and program reports from respective Community Mobilizers.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on the activities, achievements and challenges of Community Mobilizers. • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of Community-based integrated health services activities and data. • Provide feedback to Sr/Technical Support Officer on the progress and outcomes of the implementing programs/projects in the assigned areas.
• Assist Sr/Technical Support Officers on conducting advocacy, area mapping, & auditing for new recruitment or area expansion in the assigned territory.
• Assist supervisor’s field visit and donor visit as per Program’s need.
• Participate in joint activities, meetings, and initiatives with partners to promote the SCH implementing projects.
• Implement quality improvement processes to enhance the effectiveness of integrated health service provision and awareness activities.
• Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to CMs to improve service delivery.
Key Skills: The key skills required for the position of Community Coordinator (Field) include:
Technical Knowledge: Must have a basic knowledge on community health care program mainly on TB. Operational management: Must be able to practise effective time management and territory management to increase providers’ productivity.
Communication: Must be able to understand basic communication skills and effectively communicate with their providers and all stake holders.
Organizational Skills: Know teamwork nature and NGO working nature
Term of Agreement:
The Contractor will receive the basic daily service payment upon submission of a complete Daily Work Report to the respective Supervisor and payment will be made within 30 days after SCH receives and accepts the report. In addition, the Contractor may be eligible for a performance-based payment, which will be determined based on the verification of achievements against the Monthly or Quarterly Performance Indicator Report and the appraisal and approval of the respective Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Be a Graduate
- Able to drive motorbike and have a valid driving license for motorbike (only for non- Yangon area posts)
- Able to travel extensively to hard- to- reach areas in assigned territory
- Working experience on community activity is preferable
- Resident from project township is preferable
- Must have good communication skill and advocacy skill
- Should be organized, systematic, dynamic and must interact well with others
