Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Assistant Accountant will be responsible generally to perform day to day finance and accounting function of National Finance especially for health care expenditures and assist timely and good quality Finance Report Preparation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:
- Check and verify the health care expenditures to be in line with health care policies;
- Regular tracking of individual health care expenditures to ensure all the claimed expenditures are within the limit;
- Coordinate with other departments of field office relating with finance matters;
- Perform day to day finance and accounting work effectively, efficiently with good service quality;
- Assist Accountant to check the project code with Time sheet for payroll register;
- Check and verify Petty Cash reimbursement and expenses from Administration unit of Office;
- Check, verify and perform sales revenue receipt and file all original sales invoices;
- Assist monthly Finance Report preparation compliance with budget allocation and report to SCH National HQ;
- Assist Finance Officer to monitor, evaluate, analyze the financial report on issues of the Offices.
- Assist Finance Officer for Quick book Data entry, preparation and analysis.
- Assist Finance Officer to reconcile program income with inventory report and MIS report.
- Assist to perform all banking transaction and reconcile bank statement with QB data;
- Assist to report to HQ for cash balances at the end of calendar month and SCH’s month.
Qualifications
KEY SKILLS
The key skills required for the position of Assistant Accountant include:
Technical Knowledge: Understanding on basic calculation, basic financial concept and using finance software.
Time management: Able to manage well timely accomplishment of assigned task and reports.
Communication Skills: Able to communicate well with users and good in customer relationship skill.
Team Spirit: Must be a good team player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a graduate with certificates in Accounting and Financial-related courses.
- At least three years’ experience of related field.
- High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email.
- Knowledge about accounting software especially Quick Book.
- Ability to work systematically, accurately, and under pressure in challenging environment.
