Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local non-governmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes state-of-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

JOB SUMMARY:

Human Resources Officer will be mainly responsible for all HR functional services of SCH’s employees by coordinating with respective authorized HR focal and assist to Human Resources Manager in implementation of HR reporting and compliance matters.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of Human Resources Officer include:

As a HR focal of national team at SCH - Headquarters, involve in the development and smooth implementation of all HR services for effective functioning of all SCH’s activities of talent acquisition, talent development and employee benefits.

  • Coordinate recruitment and selection process including job announcement, coordinate and participate in interviews, reference check, job offer, etc. in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure to hire staff.
  • Organize the new staff onboarding related matters by contracting, collecting the required personal information, setting the profile in the system, contracting and confirmation for following policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Orientation to newly recruited staff and/or re-orientation to existing staff as needed, regarding HR procedures and policies.
  • Assist to organize the Organization’s Staff Orientation Program.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and facilitation of the staff development and capacity programs by keeping records and processing staff skill development requests.
  • As part of focal person, involve in the development and smooth of Health Insurance System required for effective functioning of all organizational activities;
    • Report regularly to HCB team for probationary accomplished new joiner/s & leaver/s
    • Collect information of employee & beneficiaries for membership ID
  • Assist the HR digitalized functional transformation process and any other integrated systems
    • Updating new & resigned employees in system.
    • Collect and calculate unused vacation leave for resigned staff and without pay leave.
    • Update the employee database and share with all employees as per defined HR guidelines.
    • Collecting & checking monthly leave report and balance from leave handlers.
  • Handle the employee personnel files for all employees’ information to be updated, and other matters of private and personal nature in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Assist to Human Resources Manager for the all-HR operational functions to be smooth operating under proper compliance practices in line with control systems.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a university degree
  • Must have minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources
  • Must have good understanding & knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Must be skillful in the use of English language and computer software
  • Must work accurately under tight deadlines
  • Must have good communication and negotiation skills
  • Must have team-work oriented, proactive and demonstrated capacity to work independently
  • Must have to produce effective outputs timely with minimal supervision
