Job Description

As a Sales Representative, you will be at the centre of revenue and client relations at Sumundi Inc, a software development company.Your key areas of focus will be using a consultative selling approach to find the right strategies to close new clients. This is a highly mobile role which will require you to meet and find prospective clients. You will also be highly involved in making insightful organisational sales decisions.

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand our software products inside-out and be able to help clients identify the many ways in which our solutions can help them
  • Sell our software subscription plans perfectly and ensure that customers are renewing each month without dropping off
  • Understand how our software works with a variety of hardware components (computers, tablets, smartphones, printers etc)
  • Be able to nullify the objections of customers during the sales process
  • Collaborate with our external partners and resellers during the onboarding process of new clients
  • If a client stops using any of our software products, you need to be able to tell us the reasons why that happened and share actionable ideas on how we can improve
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, understand industry trends, and stay informed about competitor activities.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and digital product demonstrations to potential clients, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of our products/services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and marketing materials to support sales efforts.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics to management on a regular basis.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitors to enhance sales effectiveness and provide superior customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer support and product development, to address client needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive sales environment.
  • Strong emailing and lead-generation skills
  • Ability to consistently follow up on potential and current clients
  • Ability to document communication with clients and report on them​
  • Excellent communication (both digital and in-person) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment, is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in computer skills (Using word processing software, Saas platforms, spreadsheets and cloud based coollaborative programs)
  • Fluent in English 

Additional Information

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an full-time employee or independent contractor agreement with Sumundi. The compensation level for this role is highly performance based but with a decent base pay..
