Job Description
Summit Funding is hiring for our Doral Branch! We are looking for a Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant/Loan Partner to join our team.
An exciting opportunity for an experienced, outgoing, and dedicated bilingual mortgage professional who is interested in growing their career in the world of mortgage and finance. The Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant/Loan Partner is a key role that provides support to the producing Branch Manager and Loan Officers, helping them to grow their business and assisting in making the borrower’s dream of homeownership a reality.
Pay rate ranges between $17-$21.50/hr DOE plus potential to earn monthly bonuses.
This position offers a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
What you would be doing:
- Manage the Branch Manager and Loan Officer's calendar, keeping them on schedule and on task.
- Monitor and manage communication on behalf of the Team as needed.
- Source, track and follow up with leads, schedule and confirm appointments with borrowers and referral partners.
- Prepare potential borrowers before they come in to meet with the Branch Manager or Loan Officers.
- Assist the Branch Manager and Loan Officers with assembling the Loan Application and completing the file so the borrower can get their loan closed and purchase their home.
- Includes pulling credit, calculating income, running DU/LP, and placing order outs as needed
- Assist with marketing responsibilities including managing their database of referral partners, initiating and executing marketing campaigns.
- Maintain office supplies in stock including Summit marketing brand kits and team merch.
- Coordinate Happy Hour, Lunch and Learn and other events with clients, referral partners, vendors and internal team members.
- Represent the Team in a professional and customer-centric manner.
Additional Responsibilities if NMLS Licensed:
- Prequalify clients to include discussing, rates, terms and/or financial options.
- Call and obtain conditions from borrowers and Realtors. Clear any conditions that require communication with the clients.
- Meet with clients to sign Loan Application and Disclosures.
- With new contracts, facilitate the introduction to Realtors via e-mail and facilitate a call from the Team to ensure positive customer service for our new clients.
- Understand and research all investor guidelines and stay up to date in any and all program changes that effect the processing or originating of loans in pipeline.
- Submit complete files to processing based on Investor and/or AUS requirements to get ready for submission to Corporate.
- Communicate loan approval by sending pre-approval/commitment letters to all parties involved in the transaction.
- Coordinate Closing details with Client – Final Payment, rate, Cash to Close, etc.
- Review all closing statements, compare to signed CD before signings and correct discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent mortgage, real estate, or banking experience required.
- Must be fully bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Current NMLS license is a plus.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- World-class customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and hold your Team Members accountable.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
- MS Office skills.
