Job Description

Role Summary:  Primarily responsible for handling EP&C Project Quality, Export, and Logistics Documents and effects for Summit Electric Supply. This person must effectively partner with the EP&C and International team, manufacturers, and customers.

  • Handling EP&C Project Quality, Export and International Documentation for Summit Electric Supply
  • Responsible for submission of Project Documentation for Summit Electric Supply in a timely and effective manner
  • Communications with Freight Forwarding companies regarding outgoing freight
  • Communicates with manufacturers and customers by phone, e-mail, or computer system to ensure that documentation and materials are delivered on a timely basis.
  • Coordinates with Customers to investigate any discrepancies in manufacturer, logistics companies, and branch records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Customer service orientation – both external and internal.
  • Proven ability to build relationships of trust with individuals at every level of the organization.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Organization.  Proven ability to maintain several concurrent activities.
  • Computer use.  High Proficiency in word processing and the use of a database programs (such as SAP or other enterprise software).
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Detailed oriented and highly analytical.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Unwavering commitment to Summit values and mission.
  • Time Management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility – ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, hectic work environment.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • H.S. education or GED equivalent is required.

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with ERP software (SAP) or similar, and database maintenance.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Ability to understand discounting, pricing, and basic accounting.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Industrial products knowledge.
  • Purchasing, pricing, inventory, or distributor experience.
  • Some college coursework.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
