Job Description

Support a region with 11-12 operating branch locations, responsible for ~$300-400MM annual revenue. Analyze and report business performance using financial and operational data on a monthly basis. Lead annual planning and monthly forecasting process as well as the development of key profitability measurement tools, such as customer, segment, product, and job profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tools to deliver various company analysis, including monthly performance diagnostics by profit/cost center, forecasting and planning, and customer/product/job profitability           
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of business systems including SAP, Power BI, and other Data Warehouses, etc.
  • Develop and implement business processes to deliver key objectives
  • Coordinate people and training to communicate and deliver key objectives
  • Lead the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes, including presentations to senior leadership team
  • Analyze financial and operational data to assist with capital and manpower planning
  • Prepare routine financial reports for company-wide reporting and ad-hoc reports for operational decision making
  • Prepare and distribute Performance Dashboard Metrics reports

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 5-10+ years of FP&A work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as financial leader and partner to business unit leader
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including Volume/Rate/Mix Margin driver analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading monthly forecasting and annual planning processes encompassing sales, margin, costs, and key balance sheet metrics
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • MBA degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Finance
  • Experience sourcing relevant transactional data from SAP to diagnose business performance drivers
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in PowerBI or similar data visualization applications
  • Experience working for or with companies in the electrical supplies distribution or similar industry
