Job Description

Summit is looking to add another great person to our Products & Pricing team! If you are a self-driven, detail-oriented person who works well both independently and on a team, then this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for!

As a Products & Pricing Coordinator you will partner with various levels of people across the company including Corporate Purchasing, Service Center Leaders, Operations Managers, Account Managers, and Branch level Accounts Payable Associates. By supporting internal associates, you will be part of an amazing team with the common goal of pursuing excellence in order to provide excellent service our customers. 

As a Products & Pricing Coordinator you will:

  • Enter and maintains inventory item records including costs, planning parameters, deletions, obsolescence, cross-reference, and item conversions.
  • Facilitate electronic price updates for cost as well as sell conditions.
  • Maintais prices manually as needed.  
  • Create and maintain Vendor Information in the computer system.
  • Maintain Branch level as well as Customer specific pricing.
  • Perform system material, cost, and sell price maintenance.  
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • Strong Customer service orientation – both external and internal.
  • Organization.  Proven ability to maintain several concurrent activities.
  • High Proficiency in computer use such as word processing, and the use of a database (such as SAP or other enterprise software).
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail oriented and highly analytical.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Unwavering commitment to Summit values and mission.
  • Time Management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility – ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, hectic work environment.
  • Positive, can do attitude and approach to work.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • H.S. diploma or GED equivalent is required.

 

These additional skills will help you be successful:

  • 5 years of successful experience in the electrical distribution industry.
  • Experience working with ERP software (SAP) and database maintenance.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Ability to understand discounting, pricing, and basic accounting.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Electrical products knowledge.
  • Electrical sales/rebate and/or inventory experience, or distributor experience.
  • Some college coursework.  Bachelor’s degree in an accounting or electrical distribution related field is helpful.

 

Physical Challenges:

  • Consistent sitting for long periods of time.  Majority of day (85%+) is spent sitting at desk.
  • Must be able to lift 5 pounds on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Regular and consistent use of keyboard.
  • Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
  • Majority of job is located inside an office building, during regular hours of operation. Additional challenges may arise, at which time Summit may revise this job description.
