Job Description

Expectations in the first year (Outcomes):

1. Manage their work so that they maintain 8 cuts per hour or 30 picks per hour

2. Design a process and training video for pulling heads

3. Associate knows where all wire goes and how much footage is on each spool

4. Associate knows where all pipe goes and how much footage is on each pipe

As a Distribution Associate (Wire Cutter), you will: 

The mission for the Wire Cutter is to help the branch meet Customers needs for wire and pipe. The Wire Cutter is responsible for managing deadlines and the safety of their work area.

Your Day Will Include:

  • Measuring and cutting wire in pipe
  • Managing work flow to ensure the customer receives their order on time
  • Pulling customer orders, ensuring their accuracy, and preparing them for shipment
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Receive and stock products as needed to replenish inventory
  • Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary
  • Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times

Must have:

  • Arithmetic skills (fractions and decimals)
  • Ability to use calculator
  • Willingness to learn

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Experience in local delivery driving is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment or providing exceptional customer service is preferred.

Physical Challenges:

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles.
