Are you looking for a challenging role to kickstart your career in IT? Summit has a great opportunity for a Jr/Mid -level Systems Analyst/Developer!

You will be primarily responsible for software development and support of enterprise application systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and supplementary applications. Development efforts will range from small (individual) to large-scale, multi-team, and integrated solutions working in multiple environments. You will work with oversight from senior developers to accomplish individual tasks as well as larger efforts. Your day-to-day will include activities such as issue investigation and triage, general application support and maintenance, and database querying to support development and support efforts.

Here's what you will do: (essential job functions)

  • Translate business and technical requirements into deployable business solutions within SAP
  • Develop and deploy sustainable and efficient applications and scripts
  • Support configuration and development activities around the ERP software and 3rd party applications supported
  • Work with IT Team leadership and senior team members to support the day-to-day business and future enhancements of the application environment
  • Execute unit tests to validate development/enhancement efforts and should be able to perform code reviews within the teams.
  • Develop proof of concepts before developing solutions
  • Produce procedural and end user training documentation, as well as perform end user training where required

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Education or experience focused on programming business systems
  • Understanding of Object-oriented programming
  • Basic understanding of business systems
  • Critical thinking skills in both IT (technical) and Business (functional) areas
  • Knowledge of or experience with database concepts, SQL querying, and application performance tuning
  • Ability to design multiple potential solutions to solve a technical problem
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and with internal customers
  • Ability to manage small to medium size development efforts at an individual level
  • Strong PC skills

These skills will help you be successful:

  • Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies
  • Abilities in translating business and technical requirements into deployable business solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot inter-related system issues, identify root cause, and deploy fixes
  • Self-motivated; clear evidence of a willingness to maintain and grow competency in the role
  • Ability to work well alone or within small groups
  • Ability to manage priorities and multi-task

 

    Ongoing education is important; these additional Skills and Experience are definitely beneficial!

    • ODATA development in NetWeaver gateway, SAP PI/PO knowledge
    • SAP functional knowledge
    • EDI experience
    • Knowledge of or experience with integration points
    • ABAP Development experience
