Role Summary:  Primarily responsible for software development and support of enterprise application systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and supplementary applications. Development efforts will range from small (individual) to large-scale, multi-team, and integrated solutions working in multiple environments. The Senior Systems Analyst/Developer is expected to be self-guided with little oversight needed to accomplish individual tasks as well as larger efforts.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include issue investigation and triage, general application support and maintenance, and database querying to support development and support efforts. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Translate business and technical requirements into deployable business solutions within SAP
• Develop and deploy sustainable and efficient applications and scripts
• Support configuration and development activities around the ERP software and 3rd party applications supported
• Work with IT Team leadership and team members to support the day-to-day business and future enhancements of the application environment
• Execute unit tests to validate development/enhancement efforts and should be able to perform code reviews within the teams
• Develop proof of concepts before developing solutions
• Produce procedural and end user training documentation, as well as perform end user training where required

Role Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies
• Comprehensive experience with SAP/ABAP Programming in SD, MM, FI, and HR functional areas. SAP PO, BW, JavaScript, UNIX, Shell, PHP and Ruby are desirable
• Detailed experience with database concepts, SQL querying, and application performance tuning
• Strong abilities in translating business and technical requirements into deployable business solutions
• Applied experience troubleshooting inter-related system issues, identifying root cause, and deploying fixes
• Self-motivated; clear evidence of a willingness to maintain and grow competency in the role
• Ability to work well alone or within small groups
• Ability to manage priorities and multi-task

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed ability to design multiple potential solutions to solve a technical problem
• Critical thinking skills in both IT (technical) and Business (functional) areas
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and with internal customers
• Ability to manage small to medium size development efforts at an individual level
• BA or BS degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
• ABAP Development experience
• Strong PC skills

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

• ODATA development in NetWeaver gateway, SAP PI/PO knowledge
• SAP functional knowledge
• EDI experience
• Knowledge of or experience with integration points
