Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our National Clinical Services team on a casual basis. This remote working role will enable us to continue providing top quality services and provide best of life care to our residents. 

The key purpose of the this remote Registered Nurse role is to provide online/video and phone remote clinical support to facility employees (primarily Caregivers or Registered Nurses). 

 

This is a casual role, working on an as needed basis. 

 

As a registered nurse in the National Clinical Services team you will provide remote clinical escalation pathways for villages including evidenced based and best practice clinical reviews, clinical teaching, and management of incidents, risks and events. 

Some of your responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide timely, high qaulity recomendations grounded in evidence based practise
  • Effectively communicate assessment findings and provide advice to the in-centre team 
  • Provide input into a resident care plans in collaboration with the in-centre team. 
  • Coaching to the targeted care team members in order to provide high quality management 
  • Use technology, including Microsoft Teams and electronic resident management systems confidently  

Qualifications

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will be seeking a rewarding role and feel motivated by enhancing residents’ lives.

You’ll bring with you:

  •  A NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
  • Good administration skills and experience using VCare
  • InterRAI trained
  • A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership experience - ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient
  • Flexibility and available to cover shifts at short notice
