We're looking for an experienced Head of Investor Relations to lead engagement with the investment community and help shape the market's understanding of Summerset's strategy, performance and growth story.
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a high-profile leadership role responsible for leading Summerset's investor relations strategy and market engagement across New Zealand and Australia.
You'll act as a trusted adviser to the Board, CFO and Executive Leadership Team, providing insight into investor sentiment, capital market expectations and external perceptions of the business. This role combines strategic thinking, relationship management and strong commercial acumen to ensure Summerset continues to build credibility and trust with investors and analysts.
What you'll be doing
Key areas of focus include:
- Lead Summerset's investor relations strategy and engagement programme.
- Build strong relationships with investors, analysts, brokers and capital markets stakeholders.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to the Board and Executive Leadership Team.
- Shape and deliver investor presentations, results communications and market updates.
- Bring an investor and analyst perspective to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor market trends, investor sentiment and competitor activity.
- Support capital management initiatives and strategic transactions through a capital markets lens.
- Lead and mentor a small Investor Relations team.

Qualifications
About You
You're a commercially astute relationship builder who understands how investors and analysts assess performance, value and growth.
You bring a strong capital markets background and can confidently engage with senior executives, investors and Boards. You know how to challenge thinking constructively, provide an external market perspective, and communicate complex information in a clear and compelling way.
Most importantly, you're collaborative, credible and relationship-focused. You understand that effective investor relations is built on transparency, trust and influence rather than defensiveness.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Funds Management or a similar capital markets environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies and listed company reporting.
- Experience preparing and delivering market-facing communications and presentations.
- Experience working on the investor, analyst, advisory or issuer side of the market.
- Deep understanding of investor and analyst expectations.
- Confidence presenting to and advising Boards and senior leaders.
- A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.

Location: Auckland or Sydney preferred. Melbourne will also be considered for candidates with strong investor and capital markets networks.
