Company Description

You can help bring our villages to life!

At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.

Job Description

We’re looking for an Interior Fit Out Team Member to support the setup of furniture and fittings of our beautiful Summerset care centre and facilities building in Summerset Milldale. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role for a 2-week assignment starting 24 August 2026.

This position is focused on the placement and setup of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) rather than construction or interior building work. You’ll play an important hands-on role in bringing the village spaces to life ahead of opening.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team with the interior fit-out of resident and communal spaces
  • Receiving and checking deliveries against order lists and schedules
  • Unpacking and placing FF&E items in line with floor plans and placement guides
  • Liaising with suppliers during deliveries to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Photographing items and recording any damages or discrepancies

Qualifications

You’ll be someone who enjoys staying active and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, you’ll bring a strong awareness of health and safety while confidently communicating with others on site.

  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout the day
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans (beneficial)
  • Proactive approach to Health & Safety, keeping it front of mind at all times
