Job Description

Our picturesque Summerset Boulcott village is a brand-new village & sits adjacent to the beautiful Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club, offering stunning views of the surrounding valley and lush greens. This village is still in development - once complete, this stunning village will offer a range of modern, high quality living & care options to our residents. 

About the Role: 
As the Activities Coordinator is a resident centric role, where you will plan and facilitate a programme of activities and exciting events for our residents, providing quality resident support, managing vulnerable residents and communications with families.  
 
We are anticipating a start date of February 2025 for this role. 

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Delivering exercise programmes, regular outings, sporting and recreational events
  • Taking an active interest & providing input into the overall look and feel of the Village  
  • Effectively leading and participating in activities as needed  
  • Being the main point of contact for many residents in the Village  
  • Providing excellent customer service to all residents, families and visitors 
  • Led resident village communication via the activities calendar and weekly newsletters.

Qualifications

About You: 
Ideally you will have experience in events, hospitality or aged care, but more important to us will be your genuine love for all kinds of people from all walks of life. 

To be successful you will bring: 

  • A kind & patient manner and a positive can-do attitude, with a genuine interest and passion for people 
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills 
  • Amazing organization skills with high attention to detail  
  • Ingenuity in mindset to help identify new opportunities for residents to have fun 
  • A good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best exercise programmes 
  • A current & valid NZ Drivers license (& the ability to drive a van)
  • (Current First Aid Certificate will be an advantage to have)
