Job Description

Summerset Dunedin is looking for an exceptional Kitchen Assistant (Weekends) to join the team! This is a permanent, part time role working a minimum of 32 hours per fortnight, Saturdays & Sundays 9am - 5.30pm.

About the Role:
At Summerset, we place high value on providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents and visitors. To provide this we have implemented a new food strategy, to enhance the overall dining experience for our residents and visitors. Therefore, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who has a genuine interest in providing quality services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following the requirements of the Food Control Plan to ensure that all elements are completed as documented
  • Cleaning of all kitchen surfaces including washing dishes and removing rubbish from the kitchen
  • Working with the chef to unload and put away stock
  • Supporting the chef with food preparation

Qualifications

About You:
You will be outgoing, friendly and have a can-do attitude accompanied by great communication skills. To be successful you will bring:

  • Top class customer service to ensure a great experience to our residents and their guests
  • The ability to provide high quality and timely support for the Chef
