Sudan’s Policy Advisory Group (SPAG) is an independent, voluntary-based, and non-partisan group of Sudanese experts who provide an essential practitioner perspective on emerging social, political, and development contexts. SPAG offers advice on maximising the contribution of policy advocacy and research in policymaking, toward building a new strategic roadmap for the Republic of Sudan.
Sudan Vision 2030 is a policy-based project for a multistage national strategic vision that represents Sudanese people’s aspirations for a better future. The vision aim at creates the needed shift to transform Sudan into a leading country in Africa by the year 2030. From the economy to governance, and the rule of law to repositioning Sudan on the global agenda, Sudan Vision 2030 demonstrated a solid commitment and a national passion for change and development.
The PMO Interagency Coordination Unit works to enhance and strengthen resources coordination, provide technical support and oversight in all coordination related issues, promote coordination standards and quality assurance and support PMO-wide capacity building efforts. The unit also supports and guide inter-sector coordination, ensuring coherent and consistent approaches between the PMO teams and the Project Governance Board, providing technical oversight and guidance to sector working groups and guiding emergency preparedness, including contingency planning.
Job Description
THE ROLE
As a Junior Project Officer, you will have a dual role in your daily work. On the one hand, you will manage several short-term activities from start to finish, and on the other hand, you will be tasked with managing long-term tasks. The size and complexity of the projects and the tasks will change and grow with your experience.
Responsibilities
As Junior Project Management Officer, you are supporting the PMO team, by:
- Contributing to the development of PMO activities, research and publications on various issues of interest to PMO strategic planning exercises.
- Supporting the development of projects and programmes with various team, adopting “localization” approach of the global development agenda, and consolidating collaboration in these areas.
- Being responsible for one or several working areas, particularly the supporting one of the key streams, and ensuring the success of tasks and activities.
- Drawing up notes and support status reporting linked to these projects and programmes.
- Contributing to the organisation of seminars, knowledge sessions, contacting participants and taking care of logistical arrangements.
- Contributing to the analysis of key international documents and policies.
- Creating insight from the various overviews which helps the teams in decision making taking actions.
- Contribute to identifying process, tooling gaps and drive systematic improvements.
- Playing an active and constructive role in team meetings.
- Undertaking such other tasks as may reasonably be required.
Qualifications

- Excellent verbal and written communication, networking, and presentation skills (in English).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education
First-level degree in human resource, administration, management, or related field.
Language
