Job Description

The fundraising coordinator will support StC staff in their fundraising efforts primarily by supporting tasks related to building relationships with prospective funders. This will involve supporting State Leads across StC’s 6 state Hubs (New Jersey, Maine, Oregon, Wisconsin, New York, and Connecticut) with their focus on state-specific fundraising. StC’s state fundraising strategy focuses primarily on state and local foundations, as well as corporate funding. The fundraising coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing current funders with impact reports 

  • Preparing meeting briefs ahead of calls with funders

  • Manage prospecting of potential funders in the states where we are currently conducting outreach  

  • Managing processes for State Leads to contact local foundations and/or corporate funders

  • Coordinating fundraising initiatives by liaising with the State Hub Leads to track progress and support communications

  • Identify events that would make StC more visible to local funders

 

Qualifications

  • Passion and commitment to our mission and values 

  • High quality professional writing skills

  • Proactive and organized (is able to manage multiple communications)

  • Self-motivated and strong time management

  • Undergraduate degree completed, ideally with a concentration in communications, business, nonprofit management, or a related field
