The Sturbridge Host Hotel + Conference Center is centrally located in Sturbridge Massachusetts on beautiful Cedar Lake.  We offer 232 guest rooms, with 24 mini suites, 5 suites, along with 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Our guests also have access to our 3 on property dining options, The Greenhouse for breakfast, The Oxhead Tavern, with lakeside dining and VIP’s Lounge.  We also offer a variety of catering options for our events and functions, all produced by our dynamic kitchen team.

Are you good at analyzing a problem and coming up with a fix? Do you have great guest service skills? How are you at working with your hands, and ensuring things work smoothly? 

If you can answer any of these questions with GREAT, then we have a position for you.  Our team is looking for a evening maintenance technician.   As part of the team, you will be moving throughout the hotel performing many different tasks.  One minute you could be assisting a guest with a HVAC issue, the next minute you could be assisting the team with moving tables.  There is never a dull moment.

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as decks, sidewalks and door.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
