Job Description
Reporting directly to the VP, the Product Manager oversees the onboarding of new products, follows them throughout their lifecycle, monitors KPIs including warranty claims, reacts quickly and efficiently to communicate in cross-functional teams to successfully mitigate risk and ensure entire customer satisfaction.
TASKS
- Prepare items to go to market both in-store and online;
- Collaborate with various parties to collect all needed data on new items;
- Maintain superior product knowledge;
- Monitor defective rate trends;
- Investigate customer claims and prepare detailed reports for the executive team and vendors;
- Participate in establishing corrective action plans;
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the Supplier Vendor QC Portal;
- Manage product revisions and versioning;
- Must regularly participate in the assembly of new products to gain firsthand experience;
- Balance cost benefit when making decisions;
- Participate in all related tasks.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in product sourcing;
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills;
- Works well under pressure;
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Be familiar with assembly benchmarks and best practices;
- Be comfortable interpreting assembly instructions and making needed corrections;
- Bilingual in French and English (speaking and writing);
- Mandarin speaking (an asset).
