Provide leadership for CADCAM manufacturing personnel. Ensure proper equipment maintenance, and lead processes to realize maximum productivity, efficiency and quality, while fostering safe work practices and minimizing environmental impacts. Major Responsibilities of the Position:
Responsible for the quality, production output, and scheduling for CADCAM products.
Organize and delegate the individual duties and procedures directly relating to CADCAM manufacturing personnel.
Manage the day-to-day production flow with direct responsibility for accurate record keeping, quality reporting, and employee time and attendance records.
Responsible for budget planning and budget management for Manufacturing Department.
Responsible to identify and implement COGS savings projects of 2X annual salary annually.
Instruct new CADCAM production personnel in the proper operation and utilization of equipment, fixtures, process chemicals and tools. Train new employees to current company policies and procedures.
Confer with other Operations Leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between production units and departments. Organize and participate in regular meetings with employees to communicate, resolve issues, and build a spirit of cooperation.
Motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency.
Responsible for hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions. Conduct and document annual performance reviews.
Meet all established production and shipping schedules.
Assist in the evaluation, specification and installation of manufacturing equipment.
Assist in the process development and manufacturing documentation.
Perform process qualification and validation.
Develop and write procedures to ensure quality output and GMP/ISO compliance.
Insure area is compliant with 5S guidelines.
Use of Lean Tools and Principles.
Other duties as assigned.
Seven years experience as a dental lab technician and understanding of the dental lab business. CDT Preferred.
Demonstrated competence of leadership skills including creating daily production strategies and motivating a team.
Working knowledge of all dental manufacturing processes and software. Previous medical device manufacturing experience and quality system compliance required. ISO experience a plus
The candidate must demonstrate proven microscope inspection skills with acute vision and defect awareness at 10X magnification or higher.
Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
Attention to fine detail and high quality
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Computer skills should include working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and SAP R11.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Production environment will include working with Aluminum oxide blasting media, and medium pressure abrasive blasting equipment.
Must be able to lift 25 lb without restrictions.
Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects.
Must gain certification as an OSHA Hazmat First Responder within 12 months of job placement.
Must be able to travel internationally.
