Company Description
Our client, a leading healthcare provider seeks to onboard a Head of Finance in to their organization. The role holder will provide strategic leadership and policy development on all finance and supply chain functions in line with set business plans and objectives.
Job Description
1. Strategy: Develop and implement the finance strategy and ensure its alignment to the overall business strategy. Contribute to the achievement of the strategy by providing advisory services to the business.
2. Budgeting: Lead the budgetary process for the organization in line with the strategic direction to ensure all aspects of finances are catered for and all initiatives are delivered within set budgets. Oversee and ensure effective financial evaluation and financing of major investments/capital spending allowing for sound decision making.
3. Working Capital Management: Develop and maintain a robust cash forecasting and management system that ensures adequate treasury & working capital management.
4. Leadership: Lead the finance team to achieve high performance by ensuring employee development, engagement and performance management to deliver organization objectives and goals.
5. Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with other stakeholders including financial institutions, underwriters, suppliers, auditors, and regulatory agencies. Ensure regulatory compliance to all statutory bodies with regard to the company's financial affairs.
6. Asset Management: Safeguard the organization against financial loss through fraud and error by ensuring that assets are protected. Closely monitor and maintain adequate control.
7. Debt Management: Guide the collection of all valid debts and reconciliation of accounts receivables.
8. Reporting: Provide efficient, timely and accurate financial management information including monitoring performance against financial plans in order to provide relevant and timely information to the Board, Senior Management, Departments, and other stakeholders to enable timely decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting;
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar environment
- CPAK holder
- Membership to Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
