    Job Description

    We are seeking a DevOps Lead who will design, implement, and maintain the tools, pipelines, and infrastructure that support KPI’s engineering and development functions. This role bridges stakeholders and development teams, ensuring systems operate smoothly, securely, and aligned with business goals.

    This position begins as a 6‑month contract with the opportunity to convert to full‑time employment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build and implement development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
    • Deploy updates and fixes; provide Level 2 technical support.
    • Automate development, deployment, and release processes.
    • Conduct code reviews and analyze results to improve system performance and reliability.
    • Identify and troubleshoot system issues; develop patches and updates.
    • Develop integrations for internal back‑end systems.
    • Create scripts and tools for system visualization and monitoring.
    • Lead root‑cause analysis for production issues and ensure long‑term solutions.
    • Maintain documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational best practices.
    • Communicate project updates, priorities, and blockers to leadership.
    • Lead and mentor DevOps engineers; set team priorities and career development plans.
    • Delegate effectively and empower technical teams across the organization.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps Lead, or similar software engineering role
    • Strong skills with Git, GitHub, CI/CD practices, cloud infrastructure and networking, infrastructure as code (TerraForm/Bicep/CloudFormation), containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and automation
    • Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services
    • Proficiency in Python or Ruby
    • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
    • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly
    • Detail‑oriented with solid documentation habits
    • Strong problem‑solving abilities and collaborative work style
    • Leadership experience—mentoring, guiding, or empowering technical teams
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Preferred: Enterprise‑level development experience; background in civil engineering or customer‑experience environments
