Job Opportunity – Electrical Engineer with Scanreco in Cincinnati, OH

Scanreco is a Swedish-owned leading developer and manufacturer of radio remote controls for industrial applications, cranes and machinery manufacturers. With over 34 years of experience in radio control and radio frequency technology, Scanreco has established itself as a worldwide leader in safe radio remote controls. 

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help grow US operations. The role will modify and develop new software based on Scanreco’s existing hardware and work with our existing software platforms. Additionally, you will:

  • Design and implement modifications to existing software on a variety of embedded devices.
  • Read, develop and understand customer technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.
  • Enhance efficiency of software deployment by creating scalability within the software architecture.
  • Write clear software documentation.
  • Manage and own all software issues that may arise during the sales cycle.
  • Production testing of remote systems, or subassemblies for functionality and quality.
  • Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:        

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in application development.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems.
  • Skills used in this position:
    • C or C++ for Embedded systems.
    • Communication protocols.
    • Familiarity with electro-hydraulic systems.
    • Programming for HMI design; Qt experience an asset.
    • CAN-Bus network implementations (CANOpen, J1939).
    • Use of RF Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Multi-Meters an asset.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
