Job Description

Responsible for assisting the Risk Management Department in day-to-day management of the procurement functions at Stratas Foods.  Primary duties include assisting buyers, analyst and specialist with procurement functions including maintaining approved supplier documentation, contract entry, master PO maintenance and position reconciliation.  This position is also responsible for Daily market information distribution.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide purchasing support to all functions including contract management, research as well as quality and service challenges for plants
  2. Provide support for Packaging and non-oil purchasing needs.
  3. Manage MDM and Policy Tech for Ingredients
  4. Maintain databases of contracts, positions, and pricing history
  5. Ensure Procure-To-Pay policies and procedures are followed
  6. Obtain/Maintain all supplier documentation; alert team to possible risk with suppliers
  7. Track key indices, publish price and commodity changes and internal and external market information.
  8. Other Duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:  Minimum BS/BBA in relevant academic field or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:  0 - 2 years of purchasing experience preferred.

Equipment and Software:  Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including a minimum of intermediate level of Microsoft Excel.
