Job Description
The CAD Designer improves the efficiency and quality of draft work through training and development of CAD tools and drafting standards, in accordance with the group QHSE standards. The designer produces drawings in an efficient and qualitative manner to demonstrate the technical feasibility of an operation or to support the design of equipment, in accordance with the group QHSE standards within the proposed timeframe.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Studies and analyses drawings, sketches and/or other relevant information provided by internal stakeholders.
- Reports missing information, issues and/or proposes other possible solutions to the internal stakeholder, in order to efficiently produce drawings.
- Consults equipment documentation and measures equipment if required, in order to ensure the correct use and optimized configuration of the assigned equipment.
- Produces project and equipment drawings using CAD software while following the STOW drawing standards.
- Converts equipment construction drawings into proper blocks for project drawings.
- Liaises with other engineering team members in order to improve the quality, efficiency and correctness of the drawings.
- Performs measurements and produces drawings on site, in mutual agreement.
Administration & other
- Ensures the project information and drawings are properly stored according to the engineering guidelines.
- Follows the correct approval flow according to the engineering guidelines.
- Registers the own working hours.
Training & Development
- Shares technical knowledge with engineering team members.
- Organizes and gives trainings.
- Participates in trainings
- Participates in the development of CAD software
- Maintains and improves relevant technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in electromechanics, or equal by experience
- You have a strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor
- You are fluent in Dutch, English, French is a plus
- You are a teamplayer and dynamic
- You take initiative and you work in a structured and precise way
