Job Description
As a (Junior) Market Performance Specialist, you'll help us understand and improve the experience of job seekers across the UK business.
Working at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics, you'll analyse candidate behaviour, marketplace performance and consumer trends to uncover insights that support growth and improve marketplace health. As an individual contributor, you will report to the Head of Market Performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with commercial understanding and wants to make a measurable impact in a fast-moving digital business.
What you'll do
- Monitor Marketplace Performance: Track key marketplace KPIs across candidate engagement, application activity, traffic, conversion and customer outcomes.
- Analyse Candidate Behaviour: Use marketplace and consumer data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities to improve candidate engagement.
- Generate Insights & Recommendations: Translate data into clear recommendations that support marketplace optimisation and sustainable growth.
- Create Performance Reporting: Build regular reports and dashboards that provide visibility into marketplace performance and key trends.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics teams to better understand marketplace dynamics.
- Support Candidate Growth Initiatives: Contribute insights that help improve candidate acquisition, engagement and retention across our platforms.
- Conduct Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor external trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify new opportunities.
- Communicate Performance Drivers: Help stakeholders understand what's driving marketplace performance and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
What you'll bring
- B2C or Marketplace Experience: Experience working in Ecommerce, Consumer Technology, Digital Subscriptions, Online Platforms, Marketplaces or similar B2C environments.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex datasets and uncover meaningful business insights.
- Consumer Behaviour Understanding: Experience analysing customer, candidate or user engagement data.
- Performance Measurement Experience: Familiarity with metrics such as traffic, conversion, acquisition, retention, engagement or marketplace health.
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to connect data insights with commercial outcomes and growth opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Structured Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving business challenges.
Nice to have
- Marketplace Expertise: Experience working in marketplaces, job platforms, classifieds or other two-sided digital businesses.
- Growth & Optimisation Exposure: Familiarity with experimentation, conversion optimisation or growth initiatives.
- Customer Lifecycle Knowledge: Understanding of acquisition, engagement, retention and customer value metrics.
- Advanced Analytics Tools: Experience using BI tools, AI-powered analytics solutions or data visualisation platforms.
- Marketplace Economics Understanding: Exposure to supply-demand dynamics, liquidity metrics or user engagement analysis.
