Job Description

Join our team and you’ll be responsible for shaping the front end architecture for one of the Customer facing product portfolios. 

Working in the User Products portfolio you will advise and shape Product direction, mentor and grow the talent of the team, and collaborate with other Staff and Principal Engineers across the company.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Technical Leadership: Help the team implement architectural solutions, providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Look further ahead on the roadmap & backlog to identify upcoming technical challenges. Proactively take end-to-end responsibility for managing several activities and projects 

  • Product Influence: Exercise your influence to shape product direction and outcomes. Align technical projects with business goals, participate in product planning, and offer insights into architectural strategies. Take a pragmatic approach to balancing product delivery with technical improvements. 

  • Best Practices and Adoption: Lead the implementation of high-quality coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles, while supporting and guiding the team through the integration of new technologies and frameworks 

  • Cross-Team Collaboration and Influence: Leading cross-team initiatives 

  • Upskilling and Mentoring: Actively contribute to the professional development of delivery team engineers, enabling them to excel in target technologies 

  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of continuous learning, and enable team success through design and code reviews 

Qualifications

Technical Expertise 

Core Frontend Technologies (Required) 

  • Expert-level proficiency in React.js ecosystem and modern JavaScript/TypeScript 

  • Advanced experience with build tools and bundlers (Webpack 5+, Vite, or Parcel) 

  • Proficient with modern testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, Testing Library) and E2E testing tools 

  • Deep understanding of browser APIs, web standards, and cross-browser compatibility 

Cloud & Infrastructure (Highly Desirable) 

  • Working knowledge of AWS services (CloudFront, S3, Lambda@Edge, API Gateway) 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for frontend applications 

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and serverless architectures 

Architecture & Design Patterns (Required) 

  • Proven expertise in micro-frontend architectures (Module Federation, single-spa, or similar) 

  • Deep understanding of design patterns, state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context API) 

  • Experience with API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) 

  • Knowledge of caching strategies and CDN optimization 

Development Excellence 

Performance & Optimization 

  • Expert in web performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, lazy loading) 

  • Proficiency in performance monitoring and debugging tools 

  • Experience with progressive enhancement and accessibility (WCAG) standards 

Modern Development Practices 

  • Advanced Git workflows and code review processes 

  • Experience with monorepo management tools (Nx, Lerna, or Turborepo) 

  • Proficient in responsive design principles and mobile-first development 

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and meta-framework experience (Next.js) 

Observability & Monitoring 

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic, or similar) 

  • Proficiency with logging and error tracking (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Sentry) 

  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch and application performance monitoring
