The Engineering Manager we need, is an experienced leader who supports engineering teams with what they need to be successful.

Working closely with the Product Manager, they will be accountable for the delivery outcomes. 

All aspects of people and team management/leadership (team membership, career development, coaching, promotion, salary, onboarding) would be also within EM's responsibilities.

As a key leader and the role model, EM will embody the company values and continuously advocate for and behalf of their teams, regularly communicating updates, recognizing successes of the teams, and promoting the Tech community.

Working with the Staff Engineers, EM would be responsible for creation  and development of a thriving engineering culture within their teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the teams are aligned to, and delivers upon, the outcomes linked to OKRs. Driving effective collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Technical operational ownership – compliance to NFRs, cost, quality, service delivery and integrity of systems in scope.
• People leadership and career development of around 8-12 team members, often across multiple teams.
• Facilitating a communication and alignment among team members, departments, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate team performance, offering feedback and recognition.
• Participate in decision-making processes for projects, resources, and technology

Must have:

• Strong leadership skills.
• Good understanding of the technical ecosystem and SDLC.
• A technical background with web development.
• Experience contributing to planning and design discussions.
• Proven experience (3 years minimum) as an official team manager, working with teams of engineers and guiding them through their career development.
• Eagerness to enhance the level of collaboration, and to drive projects to completion. Thinking out of the box whenever it's needed. 
• Ability to spread the sense of responsibility and ownership within the teams.
• Experience in guiding teams through planning, prioritization, and execution of work.
• Future-oriented.
