Job Description

The job at a glance  

Join our team and you’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our internal IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across various technologies and platforms.

Working in the internal IT team, you will provide technical support to end-users. As a Systems Administrator you will be the escalation point for the UK IT Service Desk team and internal IT services, responsible for system administration for our UK internal IT servers, supporting our UK offices from a network connectivity perspective, working with stakeholders, supplies and troubleshooting network incidents as well as working on infrastructure and migration projects.

Your responsibilities

  • You will use your network knowledge and skills for maintenance, troubleshooting of existing setups and the setup of new network environments/offices across the UK.  You will work with technologies such as MPLS, Meraki and classic Cisco equipment and ensure smooth network operations with understanding of networks technologies such as Wi-Fi, NAC, VPNs, ISE and WLC
  • Update images and packages within KACE and JAMF, and get involved in MacOS troubleshooting and MDM administration
  • Manage and maintain the company's Active Directory infrastructure, ensuring user accounts, permissions, and security policies are appropriately configured and updated, as well as administer the UK VMWare environment, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtual machines
  • Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to automate routine tasks, enhance system efficiency, working with the IT Support Analysts and streamline processes
  • Handle storage technologies, optimizing storage capacity and performance, and implementing data backup and disaster recovery solutions

 

Qualifications

Your skills and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of MS Windows 11, Windows Server 2016-2019 and O365.  Including setup, configuration, and administration, and excellent understanding of network technologies, including MPLS, Meraki, and classic Cisco equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory fundamentals, VMWare, and storage technologies. Virtualisation technology experience, VMware or similar, including patching the infrastructure
  • KACE (or similar technology) updating builds, packing, scripting, and reporting. Mac OS and JAMF administration, including packaging experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and/or Bash for automation purposes, and experience in working with APIs and integrating systems effectively
  • IT Service Desk experience, 1st to 3rd line, including supporting analysts with incidents, requests, and project work
