We are looking for a talented data scientist to play a key role helping Stepstone to build best in class jobseeker products. You will join an interdisciplinary team of product analysts, product managers, data scientists and engineers who shape our continuous dialogue with candidates. You will work with some of the largest data sources in the industry containing billions of data points of interactions between jobseekers and our brands covering interactions with our websites, offsite communication via email, SMS or Whatsapp and covering both outgoing content and incoming responses from jobseekers.

• Work with product managers and analysts to discover opportunities for optimising communication efficiency
• Work on research projects to understand communication & jobseeker behaviour and to drive product optimisation
• Implement data science solutions using a smart combination of data technologies and machine learning/AI methods
• You will communicate back your results in a professional and actionable manner

• Lateral thinking and ability to synthesize data points from different sources into a single story.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist
• Educated to degree level or similar, preferably in a numerical field and/or statistical background.
• Familiarity with basic & advanced statistical concepts
• Familiarity with a wide range of machine learning techniques (e.g. clustering, decision trees, neural networks) and experience with their implementation in Python
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with the ability to extract and manipulate large data sets
• Enjoy working in interdisciplinary, collaborative environments  
• Ability to clearly present projects and results to business stakeholders
