Job Description

We are looking for 2 talented senior product analytics managers to play a key role helping Stepstone to build best in class jobseeker and recruiter products.  Reporting to the head of product analytics, you will be working closely to product teams and engineers to make sure we are driving product improvements with data as a core.  

As senior product analytics manager, you will spend most of your time working closely to product directors, head of product and data engineers, making sure we’re taking data driven product decisions, helping build our data strategy as well as coaching a team of analysts.   

What your day will looks like:

  • Mentor, coach, & line manage a team of product analysts on different levels of seniority, ensuring best practice analysis skills are transferred throughout the team. 
  • Be an ‘evangelizer’ for an always testing culture: help design and develop experiments to test hypotheses, iterate and implement changes in new and existing product that have a positive impact in jobseekers and the business.  

  • Help build a culture of data-informed decision making across the business. 

  • Be a key driver of defining the product analytics strategy for Stepstone. 

  • Work closely with other data teams defining our data strategy, where are we and how can we be better? 

  • Maintain a high standard of analytics data integrity and develop or implement tools and systems necessary to enable the team to analyse relevant data sources. 

  • Help to build our core experimentation and measurement frameworks. 

  • Encourage product analysts to proactively explore data and identify opportunities to help accelerate new product development or improve existing products. 

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. 

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to clearly make sense of complex ideas. 

  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Comfortable with the key tools and technologies of the trade. 

  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Lateral thinking and ability to synthesize data points from different sources into a single story. 

  • Persuasive communicator, able to make clear recommendations for action. 

  • Ability to keep pace with a dynamic, constantly evolving product road map with many moving parts. 

  • 8+ years of experience in web analytics, insights analysts, product analytics. 

  • 3+ years of experience managing a team. 

  • Educated to degree level or similar, preferably in a numerical field and/or statistical background.  

Technical requirements:

  • Proficient in SQL, Redshift, BigQuery.  

  • Hands on experience in Python/R. 

  • Adobe analytics or Google Analytics. 

  • Solid experience running A/B and MTV tests. 

  • Good understanding on how web analytics tracking works. 

Technical nice to have:

  • Know you’re way around data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau,…) 
  • Experience with tag management (Tealium, GTM, Launch…) highly desired 

  • Have used Optimizely on the past
