Job Description

We are looking for a talented Experimentation Lead to play a vital role in helping Stepstone redefine the future of work by helping us build a best-in-class experimentation program. We want you to take on this challenge!  

As a Experimentation Lead , you will work closely with all product stakeholders, including product managers, product analytics, UX research, UX design, senior product leadership, and our go-to-market teams to ensure we excel in delivering data-driven products. In that position, you won’t be responsible for setting or analyzing experiments but for driving the strategic vision of experimentation. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for data-driven product development and solid first-hand experience in leading experimentation as a program in a high-volume context. In this role, you will have a measurable impact on driving the candidate and recruiter experience by strategically supporting product development. 

Qualifications

Your Day - 2 Day:

  •  Be an evangelist for an always testing culture: help the product organization understand the value and the mission of experimentation and how this fits the overall business goals of the company 
  •  Educate and mentor the product teams to deliver best-in-class experiments at speed and scale by giving applicable and actionable advice 
  •  Create an open culture where experimentation and insights are shared across the organization and enable a wider group of stakeholders to be involved in the experimentation setup 
  •  Drive the long-term strategy, planning, and execution of our experimentation roadmap by liaising with product leadership. Have the experimentation program goals as your first and primary goal 
  •  Define and own the key success metrics of the experimentation program  
  •  Actively identify experimentation bottlenecks by cross-collaboration and active communication with various teams  
  •  Mentor product analytics and product owners to impact both the quality of our analysis and the number of test-driven insights derived from the program 
  •  Champion experimentation innovation by proactively keeping in touch with the newest developments in the industry

Your Profile:

  • A strategic thinker who can develop a long-term vision while acting on short-term wins. You can prove the program’s value today while preparing for the future 
  • Excellent communicator with a proven ability to liaise between different groups of stakeholders. You should be a great listener, ideally applying your previous and current experience to identify opportunities and bottlenecks  
  • Experience in organizing and teaching cross-functional teams. You will need to establish your credibility and become the internal experimentation champion 
  • Exceptional problem-solver who can identify problems and drive the solutions by yourself. You can take practical and quick decisions, making wise trade-offs 
  • Excellent project management skills. You will need to drive the experimentation roadmap and manage the stakeholder expectations in terms of program delivery 

Technical Skills:

  • Solid, hands-on experience in the fields of conversion optimization, A/B Testing and UX Research 
  •  Proven technical expertise with experimentation platforms. Ideally with Optimizely  
  •  Fluency in statistical concepts and hands-on experience with test analysis.  
  •  Good understanding of the product life cycle, including standard tools and processes.  
  •  Solid knowledge of the way everyday Web Analytics tools work (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.), including the understanding of tracking concepts 

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau,…) 
  •  Knowledge of SQL and other programming language (Python, R) is a plus.
