Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possibility of extension

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

• Participate as a technical expert in design, development, testing, and debugging new system modules or enhancements to existing application 

• Analyze problems and provides recommendations for application improvements 

• Help design and develop solutions to solve problems considering software/hardware capacity and limitations, operating time and desired results 

• Work with infrastructure and peers to determine implementation details for enhancements and applications 

• Partner with business to come up with application/solution designs 

• Work with a team to create project estimates based on business requirements 

• Expected to provide a work breakdown of projects and enhancements 

• Expected to participate in complete project lifecycle up to and including project implementation and work well within a team environment 

• Provide technical guidance as needed in the requirements, planning, modeling, development, deployment and support of the system 

• Establish and maintain working relationships with internal business customers, internal IT support groups and vendors to achieve project goals

Qualifications :

• Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience/training 

o 7+ years of development experience 

• Excellent knowledge client side web technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript 

• Knowledge of RESTful principles and experience using REST APIs 

• Experience building applications with AngularJS framework 

• Knowledge of responsive web application design principles. Experience with Bootstrap framework is a plus. 

• Experience with a variety of technologies including: UNIX, Windows, SQL, Java, IntelliJ/NetBeans/Eclipse, Tomcat 

• Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment 

• Must be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude 

• Proficient in MS Office applications 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Airline business systems knowledge - a plus
