Job Description

Title: TPF Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: Long term

No. of positions:- 03

 

Key Responsibilities

• Primary Functions:

o Develops high level designs and solutions, sometimes across multiple

platforms

o Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced developers

within the group

o Work with peers in Product, development, Commercial, outside vendors

such as IBM

o Creates software specification requirements into appropriate

programming languages.

o Be available 24x7 one week per month to troubleshoot and correct any

urgent customer impacting problem within your area of responsibility

o Provides project estimates and planning functions for management

o Analyses user requirements, researching, designing and writing new

software programs or developing existing programs by analyzing and

identifying areas for modification.

 

• Additional Functions

o Writing operational documentation

o Writing and testing code and then refining and rewriting as necessary.

o Reviews, tests and evaluates new versions of operating systems and

related software.

o Develops and maintains an understanding of business needs and

objectives to ensure timely responsiveness within assigned areas of

responsibility.

o Prepares regular reports on all assigned activities as required by

supervisor.

 

 

Key Skills Expertise

o Provides technical assistance to applications programming,

communications, network, and operating systems personnel.

• Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in

the computer sciences

• 5-10 years in advanced computer systems or

software systems development

• 5+ years developing in one or more of the

Client critical infrastructures

• Ability to work in all phases of system design

and delivery

• Demonstrated ability to effectively create and

execute technical infrastructure

• Strong PC skills including knowledge of

Microsoft Office products

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently

under pressure

• Excellent customer service attitude,

communication skills (written and verbal), and

interpersonal skills

• Experience with z/9 or z/10 mainframes, zTPF,

• Ability to work in multiple phases of system

design and delivery

• Ability to develop communications related

software in one or more programming

languages: BAL, C, C++, Java, on one or more

platforms: TPF, Windows, Linux, AIX, and Websphere
