Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.

Based in Zurich, they are looking for a Commercial DIRECTOR (M/W)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

Leading the Project Delivery and Commercial teams

1. Procurement and Tendering Expertise:

   • Demonstrated proficiency in procurement processes and the development of tendering procedures for international projects.
   • Extensive experience with contract frameworks such as FIDIC contracts and a deep understanding of concession schemes and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) as applied to transportation infrastructure.

2. International Experience:

   • Proven track record of executing missions abroad, showcasing adaptability and cultural competence in diverse international settings.

3. Economic and Financial Analysis:

   • Proficiency in economic, financial, multi-objective, and risk analysis techniques.
   • Knowledgeable in various transportation modeling techniques and software.

4. Project Management Leadership:

   • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
   • Proficient in managing contractual and logistical aspects of projects.

5. Business Development and Client Relations:

   • Spearhead the development of the company's commercial strategies in international markets.
   • Manage and nurture relationships with clients and relevant organizations.
   • Coordinate the preparation of prequalification documents for international agencies.
   • Oversee the activities related to tendering processes and the preparation of technical and financial proposals for international agencies and private entities.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field and have at least 15 years of work experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with construction site experience, as well as experience in transport, renewables or water projects.

A solid understanding of Office Software, project management principles, and project controls, scheduling, cost control or project coordination is also essential. Furthermore, our ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, team building, and have a positive attitude. FLUENT English is also required.
