Job Description

Document Control Clerk is responsible for inputting and processing drawing & document packages based on direction provided by the Project Management team into contract management & production control software. Other responsibilities include verifying work orders to guarantee completion and accuracy. This role includes having a thorough understanding of the workflow in the production area and staying in close communication with the Project Management team.

Minimum Starting Salary: $19.00 - depending on experience 
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:45am to 5:15pm & Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm           
 

Essential Functions: 

  • Obtain input from the Project Managers & Document Control Supervisor to process drawings for approval, that may include:
    • Pricing, returned submittals, contracts & closeout documents
  • Responsible for the maintenance of drawings and documentation. 
  • Perform document control duties as assigned with supervision. 
  • Contribute to a team responsible for document flow and distribution. 
  • Includes inputting documents into Tekla for projects. 
  • Store and retrieve necessary documentation. 
  • Post changes and maintain computerized records and release documents notifying all affected departments as needed. 
  • Store, manage, and track company documents. Organize and maintain documents, adhering to company procedures. 
  • Data entry: record location of documents and enter new documents or changes in the Maintain organized records at all times. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, as well as PDF review and editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe).
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve.
  • Ability to complete work and respond to messages promptly.  
  • Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong Organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data entry with minimal errors
  • Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, and manage time
  • Experience with Tekla software is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary predominantly operates within an office setting.
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25-50 pounds.
