Job Description
We are seeking full-time Structural Steel Welders and Fitters to join our 2nd Shift. Responsibilities include:
- Perform welding operations using MIG welding processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
- Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
- Inspect materials, structures, and products to ensure quality standards are met
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications
- Maintain welding equipment and work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
These positions do include overtime; our second shift schedule is Monday through Friday 5pm to 5am, and Saturday 5pm to 10pm.
We do offer a $2 per hour shift differntial.
Qualifications
We would like to hear from you if you have the following:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Safety conscious
- Have good attendance
- Able to work overtime
- Have knowledge of drawing language and symbols (for Fitter position)
- Are able to use steel hand working tools
- Previous welding experience preferred
- Pass a welders certification test
- Have the ability to safely operate overhead cranes
- Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance is helpful
- Knowledge of oxy/acetylene torches and measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels
