    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Oakland Park. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems for various types of heavy equipment and vehicles.

    • Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
    • Execute repairs and maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
    • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and services
    • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
    • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve problems
    • Maintain detailed service records and documentation
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
    • Collaborate with team members to complete complex repairs
    • Perform emergency repairs and provide roadside assistance when needed
    • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
    • Experience with preventive maintenance procedures
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various positions
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong communication skills and ability to document work accurately
    • Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency calls
