    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced - Iron Worker to join our team in Oakland Park, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining various metal structures and reinforcements in construction projects.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
    • Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel members, reinforcing steel, and other metal components
    • Perform welding, cutting, and bending of metal materials according to specifications
    • Erect and dismantle structural steel frameworks using rigging equipment and tools
    • Install metal decking, stairs, handrails, and other architectural metal features
    • Conduct quality control checks to ensure installations meet project specifications
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
    • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
    • Collaborate with other construction trades to coordinate project timelines
    • Report progress and any issues to project supervisors

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Valid ironworker certification
    • Current OSHA safety certification
    • Valid driver's license
    • 2-3 years of proven experience in ironworking
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
    • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment operation
    • Experience with structural steel installation and reinforcing steel
    • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
    • Strong mathematical and measurement skills
    • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
    • Knowledge of construction safety protocols and building codes
    • Excellent attention to detail and quality control
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work in various weather conditions
