Job Description
Within a dedicated unit focused on specialty markets for our Fluid Connectors activity, you define and execute the strategic and operational directions for the Chemistry, Medical, Pharma segments. You ensure the achievement of sales targets, coordinate the follow-up with major customer accounts, and lead commercial actions with Stäubli units worldwide. In this context, your missions revolve around four main areas :
Market evolution:
- Understand market trends, customer needs and expectations
- Build the growth strategy for the segment with the Market Manager, then develop the action plans
- Work with development teams and product managers to tailor products/services to market specificities
- Participate in drafting proposals for project bids and negotiating contracts with key clients
- Coordinate marketing and sales teams to ensure an effective marketing approach, maximizing product visibility and impact
- Coordinate customer quality audits with the production plant and quality department
Product Marketing:
- Contribute to the target value proposition for the market in collaboration with R&D (Research and Development), Marketing, Product Management teams, Technical Support, and Supply Chain
- Identify product differentiation points (Unique Selling Propositions - USP)
- Build and coordinate the execution of the Marketing plan with the Marketing teams
Strategy Management:
- Identify the market segment / customers to address and develop the goto market strategy with the Global Market Leader (GML)
- Support market developers' actions within sales units across the world
- Facilitate working sessions between market developers and sales teams within sales units
- Analyze sales and marketing results and propose adjustments to the strategy accordingly
- Report commercial performance and sales forecasts to Management
- Consolidate forecasts for SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning)
Sales, Marketing and Pricing Strategy:
- Contribute to the definition of a global pricing policy by considering regional market expectations, and participate in building the offer to maximize profitability while remaining competitive
- Develop sales plans for the market segment
- Define targets, map the network of priority/strategic clients, and deploy the initiatives to be undertaken
- Manage key client accounts and conduct, when necessary, commercial opportunity negotiations in coordination with affected sales directors
- Contribute to the design and monitoring of marketing campaigns for the market
Mobility: occasional travel within Europe and internationally (15% / 20% of the time)
Qualifications
Education: A Level +5 years with a focus on Technical or Marketing. A different level of education complemented by significant experience in this position is accepted.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar position, preferably in one of the target market segments.
Special Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the medical / pharma market (applications, clients, solutions, ….), and specific strategic/operational commercial/marketing processes for the market
- Fundamental knowledge of corporate finance
- Mastery of the regulatory and normative aspects of targeted activities
- Proficiency in computer tools (Office 365, business software, collaborative tools)
- Customer Orientation: understanding market needs and orientations
- Result Sensitivity: revenue/margin/investments
- ERP (SAP), CRM, Data analysis, BI (business intelligence), Office Suite.
Foreign Language: fluent in English required
Soft Skills: Proactivity, leadership, interpersonal skills, autonomy
