Company Description

Statkraft is Europe’s largest renewable energy producer, and has been making clean energy possible for more than a century. With a clear commitment to a sustainable future, we need you to help shape Statkraft’s strategic agenda and deliver on its long-term ambitions.

Job Description

Working in Corporate Strategy
The Corporate Strategy function supports the CEO and Corporate Management in setting and driving Statkraft’s strategic agenda. The Corporate Strategy team develops the Group’s corporate strategy, evaluates corporate portfolio perspectives, and advises on capital allocation, strategic priorities, and selected early-phase M&A opportunities. The team works closely with senior leadership and business areas to shape Statkraft’s future direction and translate strategic choices into action.

We are looking to strengthen the team with two new senior team members. Both positions report to the Vice President Corporate Strategy.

As a Senior Manager in Corporate Strategy, you will:

  • Shape group-level strategy and portfolio direction by developing ambitions, priorities and strategic choices for Statkraft in close interaction with Corporate Management and business leaders
  • Lead complex strategic projects from problem framing and workstream design to senior-level recommendations, decision material and execution plans
  • Assess strategic opportunities and portfolio trade-offs, including business area priorities, capital allocation implications and selected early-phase M&A topics
  • Translate strategy into action by working with business areas and functions to define implementation priorities and ownership and by ensuring rigorous follow-up
  • Develop high-quality executive communication, including clear storylines, analytical materials and recommendations for senior decision forums

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced strategic leader who combines strong analytical capabilities with sound judgement, collaboration skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You are motivated by solving complex business challenges and helping shape the future direction of Statkraft. We believe this includes:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, business development, M&A, finance, or other strategic roles.
  • Solid experience as a strategy project leader, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex strategy projects with multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Experience from renewable energy or other capital-intensive industries is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or similar
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is considered an advantage.

Personal skills that will be useful in your role:

  • Strong strategic acumen and ability to navigate complex and ambiguous challenges. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to turn fragmented input into clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and collaborate across business areas
  • Confident communicator who can develop clear and compelling storylines for senior audiences
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership, a practical mindset and a focus on turning strategy into action
