Job Description
The French origination team at Statkraft based in Paris is looking forward to welcoming an intern to support with the following activities:
Support the business management activities for the Origination team:
- Contribute to internal business projects led by the origination team in particular to establish the business model for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This includes:
- Coordinating internal stakeholders and operational teams to define and structure new processes within the New Product Approval and Implementation (NPAI) framework.
- Supporting project management activities, including preparing materials (slides), organizing and facilitating meetings, and drafting minutes and follow-up documents.
- Monitor regulatory developments in the energy markets and organize regular briefings for the team.
- Collaborate with the operational teams and relevant stakeholders in Dusseldorf, Amsterdam and Oslo to evaluate, challenge, and optimize internal processes
Support the Origination commercial team in their daily activities by providing analytical, operational, and organizational support:
- Analyze commercial opportunities and prepare offers for the full range of products (upstream PPAs, downstream solutions, etc.).
- Ensure coordination with operational teams to guarantee smooth implementation and operation of commercial products
- Carry out targeted market research to advance commercial development by providing in-depth analyses that uncover emerging opportunities and inform strategic efforts to identify and attract new clients.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s-level degree (Bac +5) in Engineering or Business and seeking a final-year internship or gap year position lasting six months.
- Demonstrate full professional proficiency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excel in a multicultural work environment and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders across Europe with strong interpersonal skills and a professional, effective communication style.
- Show genuine interest in renewable energies and possess knowledge of energy markets.
- Have prior experience in consulting or energy-related fields (preferred).
- Approach tasks with curiosity, rigor, and autonomy, consistently demonstrating initiative and independence in your work.
