Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Operations department has got the over-all responsibility for all IT services in production, including day-to-day operations, improvement, and lifecycle management. We strive for operational excellence fostering a culture based on competency, collaboration, and people development.
We are now looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our department as part of the Application and Middleware team. You will work in a dynamic and self-driven environment, collaborating with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers and Business representatives, among others. The position will be part of a Trading & Risk Software Product Team and report to the Manager of Application and Middleware in Infrastructure Operations. In this role you will:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Infrastructure towards one of our Trading & Risk Business Applications running in Linux using Oracle Databases.
- Optimize the application and infrastructure performance, scalability, and security on a wide range of different platforms and technologies.
- Take initiative to analyze, review and identify potential improvements and modernization points in existing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on the dependencies and integrations with other Business Applications.
- Participate in cross-departmental Product and Platform initiatives with a focus on Cloud Infrastructure.
- Stay updated with industry trends and propose improvements to infrastructure operations processes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Several years of experience related to Application Infrastructure operations and engineering as well as significant understanding of operating models and operational excellence.
- Significant Linux expertise and Oracle knowledge.
- Significant and broad over-all IT Infrastructure competency.
- Significant Cloud Technologies knowledge (especially Azure).
- Scripting and automation skills.
- Bachelor’s or master's degree within relevant fields, or relevant work experience.
- Trading & Risk Software knowledge (specially Murex) is an advantage.
- Experience in the Energy Industry is an advantage.
- Certifications related to cloud technologies are an advantage.
Skills & experience in the following:
- Self-driven, motivated, and adaptable individual to an organization that is under transformation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with Infrastructure and cloud trends and best practices.
