You will be report to VP Strategy (from either Düsseldorf or Oslo), be part of Statkraft’s Origination unit within the Business Area Markets (M). The purpose of the Origination unit is to provide green energy solutions and other tailor-made products to external customers. By acting as a market integrator the Origination unit bridges the gaps between power producers, consumers and market participants, and in doing so creates value by taking and warehousing risks. The unit leverages its excellent customer network, deep knowledge of energy markets and market specific risks and regulations, deal structuring competence, liquidity and credit risk management as well as the portfolio management of exposures.
The Strategy team (MOX) advises and supports Senior Vice President Origination and the Origination management team on strategic, governance, improvement and business support topics. It is responsible for managing Statkraft’s Key Account Management (KAM) structure and also set to take on pan-European support tasks to be delivered on a continuous basis. Our work is partly delivered in project setups which requires close interaction with senior managers & commercial units within and beyond our Markets Business Area and comes with high standard expectations. Your contributions will play an instrumental role in enabling and supporting MO’s overall success, which is of significant value to the overall Statkraft group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute and participate in MO management’s in strategy processes
- Drive and execute strategic analyses and projects with tasks including project scoping, conducting research and analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, with broad interaction across the organisation
- Maintain and further develop Statkraft’s Key Account Management (KAM) structure, with inputs from our KAMs and origination teams
- Act as the main point of contact for gathering, distributing and coordinating Pan-European RfX (RfIs, RfPs) requests received from PPA consultants/platforms and be the primary interface to RfP platforms
- Facilitate knowledge exchange, organisational development and strategic initiatives within MO, including organizing such activities/events from time to time
- Proactively develop and nurture strong working relationships and interfaces with other M teams and relevant functions in the wider Statkraft organisation
- Deliver business support on Pan-European matters as necessary
The role offers exposure to a broad range of topics, stakeholders and projects, providing unlimited learning opportunities at various levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Your profile
- Relevant higher education at Master´s level (Business Administration, Economist, Science, or similar/equivalent)
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in the energy industry or strategy development e.g. from management consulting or a strategy function of a large company
- Proven skills in strategy development and implementation, project management and process improvement
- Experience with the European PPA market, knowledge of power market fundamentals and regulations would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in another European language would be an advantage
- Strong commercial mind-set with excellent quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
- Solid interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build relationships across the organisation
- Self-driven with a proactive “can-do” attitude and able to manage several activities simultaneously
