The Continental Metering Business Operations  department is the process engine for all metered business activities in Germany, Iberia, France, Italy and Poland, and possibly more continental markets to come. The team is an important contributor of the deal entry to payment value chain of a contract, ensuring accurate validation of all contract parameters, master data and contract configurations, balance and contract settlement, invoicing & accrual processes, payment preparation & P&L calculation. This department has important interfaces and deliveries to our New Products and Investment Support unit, EU Regulatory Reporting, Revenue Operations, Certificate Management and many other different departments in the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Legal areas. 

Job Description

KPI and Performance management:

  • Identify relevant business and operational KPIs.
  • Support modifications in existent dashboards, review and improve them.
  • Develop new KPIs and dashboards in collaboration with other teams.
  • Support to establish a culture of regular reporting.  

Continuous improvement:

  • Drive process-oriented analysis and deliveries in the deal entry to payment process.
  • Provide support and coordinate with stakeholders to increase automation , efficiency and performance.
  • Supervise documentation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinate and run regular process reviews. Supervise and drive training and contionus learning.
  • Faciliate and support strategic activities of the departments management team.
  • Bring suggestions to the departments management team for cross unit collaboration with stakeholders (Multiple front office departments, other departments in Continental Metering Business Operations, other departments in Staktraft).

New Markets:

  • Research required implementation and recurring operational tasks related to operating metered business from deal closure to payment.

Regional compliance obligations:

  • Perform reports or data collection related to regional compliance obligations and statistics.

Qualifications

  • Master degree and some years of relevant working experience.  
  • Stakeholder management capabilities including the ability to understand that and why different people have a different level of understanding and point of view (hierarchies, function, seniority, culture….).
  • Be able to advise but at the same time gain trust through "hands on mentality".
  • Embrace change and ambassador for performance and improvements.
  • Willing to constantly learn.
  • Able to structure complex information in an understandable manner and transport the message to multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with working under "uncertainty" and "many unknowns" related to new markets.
  • Fluency in English; any other langauge such as German, French, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian is an advantage.
